|Stay at THE highest, slope-side
home east of the Rockies! This home has fantastic views all year
round. Interested in seeing the views? Check out our webcam:
If you watch it for about one minute, you will see some of the
incredible views from the property. The house has been totally
newly up-fitted and is in excellent shape. The lower level contains
a recreation room with air hockey, expanded cable, gas fireplace
and bar/counter. The main level has living and dining rooms with
stellar long range mountain views, stone fireplace with gas logs,
open kitchen, two bedrooms, two baths, and three balconies. The
upper level/loft is spacious, with another bed and private Jacuzzi
bathtub. All bedrooms feature a queen bed, TV, and DVD player.
This home is the perfect place for rest and pleasure...a delight
for all who enter.
In the summer and fall months, enjoy the cool temperatures and
breezes that average about 20 - 25 degrees cooler than Charlotte,
Raleigh, Columbia, etc. Even when there is no snow on the slopes,
this slopeside house still offers many great experiences. You
can sit on the deck and enjoy watching the frequent mountain
bikers and hikers pass by on the slopes. Often you will have
the opportunity to watch birds, deer, and woodchucks. You can
also enjoy the long range views of the mountains and the short
range view of the Town of Beech Mountain. There is plenty to
do at Beech Mountain in the summer including mountain biking,
hiking, fishing, golfing, concerts, and much more!
During the winter months, the location of this house cannot be
beat! Located at the very top of Beech's ski slopes, this is
THE highest, ski-in/ski-out, slope-side home East of the Rockies!
Put on your boots, walk out, snap into your skis, and head down
the hill! The house is located on Upper Shawneehaw - the first
slope to open and last to close each year and always has great
conditions. If you are not into skiing, then watch the skiers
pass by from the living room window while enjoying the fireplace
and a hot chocolate or wave and take pictures on one of the decks
outside. There is always snow around the house that is lots of
fun to play in. In the evening, relax at the house playing
one of our many board games, watching one of our many movies,
soaking in the Jacuzzi bathtub, sitting in front of the fireplace,
or playing air hockey while having a drink in the rec room.
Due to the steep ascent and close proximity to the ski slopes,
during the winter you must be willing and prepared to park below
and tote your gear to/from the house. "Only the fittest
need apply in the winter". Our rates reflect this parking
and walking "imposition". Once there, you'll feel that
it was worth the extra effort.
